LYDIA. Saitta. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Assarion (Orichalcum, 20 mm, 3.86 g, 6 h), late 2nd to early 3rd century AD. Draped bust of Asklepios to right, seen from behind and with serpent-entwined staff before. Rev. CAITTHNΩN Artemis standing right, holding bow in her left hand and drawing arrow from quiver with her right; at feet to right, hunting dog right. BMC 13. RPC IV online 1408. Rare. A lovely piece of fine style. Some deposits on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
